What does an 'EAS' warning message indicate when it is displayed on the dash of a late Ford?

The EAS warning message indicates a fault within the 'Electronic Accelerator Control' system (drive by wire). This system is found on Fiesta/Fusion models fitted with either the 1.25, 1.4 or 1.6 Duratec petrol engines. DTC's relating to this system are found within the normal engine control system
